Happy *ehem ehem* Birthday, Mommy!!
Isnt it nice that my birthday and mother's day are barely a month apart? =D
I get two celebrations (tho not necessarily two presents) two months in a row. Yeay. Awesome.
Btw, last week was my birthday. Initially, it felt like just any other day, if not worse. Pagi-pagi I rushed to KLCC to make sure KLCC's hall 3 was OK, then rushed to Bursa Malaysia to get some report on CSR, all the time wearing a pair of torturous heels. I even forgot it was my birthday until ach wished me that morning.
But...
Ach made it all ok by taking me to dinner at Max. @ iHaus. It's actually a showhouse time siang turned restaurant at night. Mula mula masuk I was VERY intimidated by the setting inside, kerusi mahal yang amat cozy, marble tables, the-all-stainless steel kitchen.. yeap you can see the kitchen. cantik.
And the menu... my first thought was.. "nate beghuk ape derang serve nehhh???" Thats because I couldnt even pronounce them. Tah ape ape. Example:
Meli-Melo of Mushroom with Soft Poached Egg, Fresh Mesclun Greens and Balsamic Reduction OR
Lamb Roulade with Cutlet, Grilled Zucchini and Eggplant Tart, Garlic Confit and Rosemary Jus
What the hell??? Whatever happened to "new york steak grilled medium well served with mashed potato and vegetables?? I understand THAT.
But anyways, I went ahead with the steak, served with sauce something-something, and some vege and something something. I really dont know what I ate, but the steak was the juiciest, tenderest, most delicious steak Ive ever had in my whole life!! As you chew you can really taste the juice, and tak liat langsung omg sedap gila!
Ach ate the that lamb roulade. Pun sedapppppppppppppp!!! Tak reti nak explain but sedap!!!
And the service was top-notch, the waiter even offered to take care of kimi while we eat our food. Actually mula2 we did the ganti2 makan thing, where ach eats first and i eat later, but i guess the chef didnt want his good food eaten cold he asked the waiter to pegang kimi. Tak lama pun, kimi menangis after 10 mins. Good enough. =D
Lepas makan we were greeted by the chef himself, Max, who speaks with indonesian accent. turns out he;s a malaysian who stayed in Jakarta for 5 years, and find it comfortable to speak like an indonesian. Whatever suits you la incik, janji masak sedap!
Anyways, this is the address of the restaurant, in case any of you reading would like to check it out:
