Image
No, not on the election but on my two sunshine. On Kimi Is already reading Bacalah Anakku Book 8 hasn't progressed far Read Easy and Iqra'.  still confuses B with D and vice versa dah hafal a few duas - doa makan, doa tidur, doa terangkan hati dah hafal a few surahs - Al-Fatihah, Tiga Kul, Taha He talks a lot. Like, a lot is nice with Hadi - I can trust him to watch over his little brother, although I did on a few occasions caught him pinching Hadi's cheeks when I left them alone. Geram kot. Ke jealous. Tak tahu lah. demands for more attention from us. It's the effect of having a baby brother I think. doesn't mind picking up and throwing Hadi's soiled diapers away. In fact, I don't have to ask him to do it, he'll do it voluntarily.  picky eater. I can almost hear some people tell me, "Padan muka. Dulu gedik sangat tanak bagi maca-macam". Sobs. a fan of noodles. Of the Invention Named Medela Freestyle

Image
I have no regrets spending on this little machine called Medela Freestyle and let me tell you why. PROS It's a dual pump Means you take lesser time to empty your tanks, because you take advantage of the let down reflex at both tanks as soon as they happen. Bukan senang nak tunggu the reflex datang. It's better than single pump, you have to empty one side, and when the reflex comes sometimes susu from the other tank rugi macam tu je.  Besides that, I don't have to worry about having to change the bottle in case penuh. Avent bottles, the small ones that fit into the cooler bags, can hold up to 6 oz. This leads to this mental block that I had, I'd pump just to get the bottled filled, when it did, I'd be satisfied and stopped pumping.  With Medela FS, the two bottles can hold up to 16 oz, tak payah risau2 botol penuh. Jadi 6 oz against 16 oz per session. You pick. Boleh pump hands-free    Being able to pump hands-free means you can pump a...

I Need A Helmet

...like the one Magneto uses to shield his thoughts from Prof X. Seriously. My husband seems to have a telepathic ability - he can read my mind. There have been a lot of instances when he literally took my thoughts out of my mind and said them out loud.  Initially I thought they're just coincidence - after living with someone long enough you tend to be able to finish each other's sentence. But that's a no-brainer if you're already in a conversation, you know each other's preferences, so you kinda know what the other person is going to say about a particular subject. Finishing each other's sentence is a breeze. But. How do you explain if it happened when both of us weren't talking to each other. Baru ni tadi (I'm writing this at 2 am 4 April 2013), both of are working, typing away on our laptops, deep in our own thoughts when suddenly... Ach looked up and said: " Eh saya kena bayar bil. Mana account number nursery Hadi? ...

Once Upon a Birthday

Image
One fine morning, on the 1st of April, many years back, in Abah's bedroom: "Abah, Happy Birthday! Nah present." I said while handing over an envelope to Abah.  The envelope contained a piece of a badly-drawn map. It's the layout of our house with arrows leading to the location where I hid his present.  Rahsia konon-kononnya. Abah smiled and followed the map, which took him in circles, in and out of bedrooms, only to find another map. I, who'd been tailing behind him all the time, giggled and said, "Okay okay janji kali ni betul-betul ada." The second map took him back to his bedroom. Teehehehehe. I hid his present somewhere in his wardrobe, rasanyalah, can't remember the exact location because this took place many-many years ago.  Alah. Chocolate bar aje pun. I can't remember what he said when he finally found his present or if he even ate the chocolate because as far as I remember, dia tak suka manis-manis.  Oh well. ...
