Welcome Home, Mami

Image
I know, lambat gila. Tapi kena jugak tulis. This entry is backdated =D. I came back on February 14th at 8.00 am. Ach and Kimi fetched me at the airport. First time I saw ach, I felt like, jatuh cinta untuk keseratus ribu kalinya dengan husband saya! It's a good feeling, eh. Absence does make the heart grows fonder. Macam ni banyak2 kali pegi overseas trip pun takpe. (hint2, boss!) As if blessing my trip wasn't enough, Ach took the time to give me a very sweet welcome-home surprise: sweet kann?

Shout Out Song for the Husband

I love my husband. Betul, tak tipu. Memang nampak macam kadang2 saya ni kasar and couldn't care less about people around me but deep inside i'm a softie. I can be a really sweet person too, bila saya ada mood. Hihihi self praising. Tak malu. Btw, does anyone of you listen to Mix FM's Breakfast Show ? If you do, I'm sure you've heard of their SOS or Shout Out Songs. For those who havent, its a segment where the DJs, Ferhad , Rudy and Jay sing dedication songs as requested by their listeners. The songs are composed by the DJs themselves and most of the times are very funny. During my second day here, masa on the of classes, I sent an email to them requesting for an SOS for Ach. It was a mightly long email, I was practically begging them to choose my request. In the email, I mentioned that I'm currently in India, ach is maidless and is taking care of the baby on his own ( of course I didnt mention that we're living with my mom hiihi ) and I thought it'd b...

How I Prepare My Husband for My Absence

Image
Hi. My days are getting pretty mundane and pretty much routine nowadays, no new discoveries so far. I'm pretty much used to seeing homeless kids and people's penises. Hopefully I will have something else to write about soon. Today I'm going to share with you how I prepared my husband for my long absence from home. It's a tough challenge you know, being maidless and all. But I have no doubt in him. He's a super daddy, he gets hands-on on a lot of things. To help ach manage I prepared him a manual. Yes, like the ones you get when you buy a new rice cooker. I think writing the manual is a sweet and brilliant idea! Okay okay I gotta give credits where its due, it was Nadiah Zawani Tamzil who gave me the idea. Amazing, eh? I am not sure how useful the manual is for him, because he already knows what to do and how to do them. But the very idea of having a manual is too cute I just couldn't pass the opportunity to make one! Nadiah suggested the title, "Manual for ...

India: Day 3, 4, 5?

La, baru 3 hari. Actually I've lost count of the days. I started taking breakfat at the hotel since the second day. They serve pretty standard stuff, toast, croisants, boiled eggs, hash browns, baked beans... they do serve indian food, yesterday i had roti canai and some dhal gravy. Today they served pohi and ape tah tak ingat. I just stick to the croisants, jam and butter. I hope I can get some briyani soon. God knows how much I love Indian food. I do, actually. Masa pregnant, saya mengidam chicken biryani shalimar. Shalimar is an indian restaurant in downtown troy. Of course tak dapat so saya mintak ach cari tikka masala. Hihihi. So its such an irony that after 3 days I havent had my biryani yet. Takpe my search for indian food shall be a separate entry on its own. This time I'm going to tell you about the city and its people. Mula2 saya tulis pasal the people . Perempuan dekat New Delhi ni, mostly pakai sari or salwar kameez (saya panggil baju punjabi). Tak banyak yang paka...

India: Day 2

It's only my second day here, tapi tekak saya dah sakit gaya2 nak demam. Hopefully tak demam. I stayed in my room until 1 pm. Didnt even have my breakfast. I ate my megi for breakfast. The training course is held at another place, not at the hotel. We were informed by the receptionist that a van will come at 1pm to pick us up and bawak pergi the Institute dekat Janakpuri. At 1.30 kami bertolak from hotel. I thought its going to be a short ride, I was wrong. It turned out to be a one hour ride. I saw a lot of things on our way to the Institute. Weird things, shocking things, heartbreaking things... At a junction bawah a flyover, kan ada area bawah flyover yang kereta memang tak lalu, I saw a mother coaxing her crying son (macam setahun lebih sikit, baya Kimi je), dia baringkan the baby on a blanket that looks very2 dirty that its black in color and then dia selimutkan with an equally dirty blanket. Again, my heart broke. Kimi if you are reading this, you are very2 lucky to live in M...

India: Day 1

As all of you might have known, I have been sent by the office to New Delhi for a two-week training. It took me 15 hours to arrive at New Delhi from KLIA. Actually I only spent about 6 hours flying, the rest are for the 9 hour transit. Mula2 I was scared and worried sebab I'm all alone, mana aku nak tau domestic terminal dekat mana, lagi ape nak buat transit 9 jam?? Luckily I met this group of book publishers and college professors who are going to Delhi and were taking the same connecting flight as mine. And aku pun dengan muke tak malu tanye if I could tag along with them. Ye la dari aku sorang2 je 9 jam. Apparently they are with a travel agent and they had planned visit Mahabalipuram temple masa transit time tu. Tiba2 agak malu nak jadi freeloader. But guess what, they agreed to take me along!!! w00t! Dapat free lunch and free visit. Awesome. So lesson learnt is, ringan2kan lah mulut bila berjalan sorang-sorang. At least people know you exist. I joined them and hung out with c...
