Image
Everyone!! Let me introduce you to the latest member of the family, Baby Hakimi.. Hakimi, fresh from oven =) Full name : Hakimi Mohd Akmal DOB : 28 October 2008, 6.10 p.m. POB : Pusrawi, KL Weight : 2.9 kg Height : 53 cm Chronology: 6.00 am: Start sakit perut / rasa contraction. Rasa exactly like sakit period / senggugut, the only difference is it strikes in every 6 minutes and last for about 1 min each. Takde la sakit mana kalau tahan senggugut tahan la sakit contraction... 7.00 am: Decided not to go to work. Called office bagitau MC. Contraction still going on. 9.00 am: Went to Pusrawi to get MC. Mind you to get MC jerrr bukan nak pi check up ke aper... But the contractions were gettting stronger and more often. Time ni sakit rasa nak menjerit. Lagi2 gi hospital with my brother's kancil WITHOUT aircond. Huii cabaran. 10.00 am: Sampai2 je terus buat test CTG. Initially the result was messed up sebab the nurse had placed the sensor too close to my heartbea...

Music to Mummy's Ears

Our checkup last week happened to be the most exciting ( and longest one, too ) we've ever had. So it started to get interesting when Dr. Adilah tanyer how many contractions I usually have and how far apart they are.Being me, I never checked pun berapa banyak kali I had contraction per day or per hour. Contraction tu rasa camner pun I dont even know. Of course my only answer to her question was, "I dont know" accompanied by my usually blur-blur face. Thats when Dr. Adilah suruh buat CTG test, some kinda test to monitor the baby's heartbeat and track my contractions. Sungguhla aku excited, sebab tatau kenapa, but then the excitement hilang all of a sudden lepas tau the test is done IN A LABOR ROOM ON A LABOR BED. I actually baring on the katil bersalin to have the test done. Huuuuu... blom beranak lagi suda baring atas katil dalam bilik beranak... huuu traumatized seketika. Note: In medicine ( obstetrics ), cardiotocography ( CTG ) is a technical means of recor...

Wait for Me, Ma!

I don't think I've been happier and prouder being pregnant until i looked at my preggie pics. 2 nights ago, soon-to-be mummy and ayahanda went to a photoshoot, specifically to amek gambar of my bulging belly. (Ach's D70 ada elemen rosak sket, sebab tu couldnt do it ourselves). The shoot was done at artclub's white room in USJ 9, shots were taken by azmin of prettypeektures . Azmin was such a superrrr photographer, he made the photoshoot fun and not as awkward as i thought it would be. U see, masa dekat RPI i was as vain as i had ever been, lagi lagi ade kawan macam shaliza kadir yang suka amek gambar. Sooooo posing for camera was no big deal for me, even tho aku tade la photogenic punnnn. But the last time I had posed for the camera was masa kawin, and after I got buncit I felt too fat for the camera. Muehehe.. Even masa mula2 shoot tu pun I was still feeling pretty shy tapi last last hamek kau macam monyet baru dapat bunge. Senget sane senget sini f...

We couldn't afford it, but we will insyaAllahh...

Yesterday ach and I went to the Curve for its bedding set fair. I think ach is getting tired of our same ol bedsheet kot. Its not exactly a fair macam besar besar punya fair, just a small circle area in front of Guess, Liz Clairborne and Nike tu... but they had really2 nice bedsheets / comforter sets with really good prices. Ada up to 70 per cent off kot. Ada bantal, tilam lipat lipat, towel and yadda yadda yadda. So anyways, when I was there I happened to stumble upon the softest, nicest, fluffiest pillow ive ever laid my hands and head on. Seriously.. the best bantal close to it was at Traders Penang. Sangat best the type yang bes. Tak tau nak describe how. Without looking at the price, aku pon pi la bawak menatang alah bantal tu around, nak tunjuk to Ach. And insisted on buying it no matter how much it costs. Then pusing2 situ, jumpa la abang salesperson tu to get the price of the bantal. And guess what was the price? A bloody RM399! Oiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. And ...

I baked another batch of muffins today. But instead of plain chocolate chips, I made chocolate chocolate chip muffin. Chocolate muffins with chocolate chips.  Hooyeahhhhhhhhhh againnnnn the muffins peaked beautifully! Uhuh uhuh climax melihat muffin sendiri. They tasted good too, but thats prolly because I ate em fresh from the oven. Usually they dont taste as good when cooled.  But takpe, I think i;m getting the hang of it. So lepas ni kalau tulis entry muffin lagi sure da bosan sebab da tere buat muffin. Muehehe.. Congratulations to me, I'm a muffin master now. (actually i'm the master among the beginners. bluek) I leave you with pics of my pretty muffins:

Alas! The muffins were good!

My muffins turned out beautifully today. Awwwwwwwwwww... At least while they're still hot and fresh from the oven. Bile da sejuk tak bes, cam biasa. Well, at least they raise beautifully I nearly climaxed looking at the pretttyyyy muffins. *exaggerate pls* Previously all my muffins would turn out batat and tamau kembang and penyek and rase macam makan batter / tepung tak masak, but this time at least all part of the tepung masak. The chocolate chips were all over the muffin, unlike previously the chips were all sunken to the bottom. Tak bes. Oyy besnya besnya besnya!!! Btw I used this recipe: * 2 cups all-purpose flour * 1/3 cup light-brown sugar, packed * 1/3 cup sugar * 2 teaspoons baking powder * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 2/3 cup milk * 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled * 2 eggs, lightly beaten * 1 teaspoon vanilla * 1 (11 1/2 ounce) package milk chocolate chips * 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped # Preheat oven to 400°F. # Grease twelve muffin cups. # In a l...

Kampung awak dekat mana?

When ppl ask me about my kampung, more often that not i'd tell them its Negeri Sembilan. Because thats where I go back during raya. When ppl ask me where i live, id answer Gombak or KL, with my mother. When ppl ask me where I come from, I always answer KL. Whenever ppl ask me the first question, I have never been mistaken as someone who lives in Negeri Sembilan. One day, I was asked by this lady, kampung dekat mana? As usual, my answer would be Negeri 9. Little did I realize I was sending the wrong message. While we were having lunch, she asked my husband a question which ticked me off: Lady: So, kerja dekat KL dekat mana? Husband: Cyberjaya Lady: Bawak wife duduk KL sekali ke? Wife tak kerja dekat KL? Husband: Tak lah, dia kerja jugak. Me (dalam hati): Actually lady its the other way round. I bring my husband to live with me in KL. I have NEVER stayed anywhere outside KL except when i was in the states. Dude what do I look to you? * I was wearing tracksuit and 0versized t-shirt a...

Raya-raya Yong Peng

Image
First raya as a wifey. Which means, first raya away from mak. Tho I did raya 4 years without mak, tapi rasa dia lain sebab semorang pun raya without their mothers. But this is different, sebab my mak is so near yet so far.   Ach's mom made us all baju raya same color. The girls had the same kain, and the guys had the same samping. Except that Ach's baba's baju is made of different material but about the same color. Believe me we ppl wouldve believed us if they were told we're on our way to a nasyid competition. Baba would be lead vocalist.  Anyways, as usual pagi raya ach and family had the salam-salam session. Macam biasa, they started the order with the eldest down to the youngest. The salam salam order was supposed to be like this: Baba duduk. Ma salam baba.  Ma duduk. Ach salam baba and Ma. Ach duduk. Ajan salam baba and ma and ach. Ajan duduk. And so on. Except that when it was my turn to salam ach, I skipped him and saye terus duduk. Agak lama jugakla before i rea...
