Ramblings of a Mami of Two

Assalamualaikum Kimi Sayang,  It’s 28 October 2012. It means you’re four today. Four. Can you believe it? Four years had passed by since I first laid my eyes on you .  A lot of things had happened in the last four years, more good than bad, and it all happened because of you. You brought Mami and Ayah closer than I ever thought we could be. You turned both of us into better people. You made me see a whole new side of Ayah that I had never seen before and it made me thank Allah that whatever happened, happened. I couldn’t have asked for more from you. Eh wait, I could. I actually hope (want) you to graduate high school with the most A’s a student is allowed, secure a scholarship and graduate from RPI (so we could find a reason to visit RPI again – you know, that place means a lot to us). Okay, okay, I was joking ( not ). Hakimi, You have grown up to be a fine young man. Okay probably it’s too early to call you a “fine young man”, but honey ...

Sebenarnya I had drafted this since forever tapi tak terpost. Thought of it again when ada offer from Photobook Malaysia dekat Groupon. RM53 for a hardcover, portrait / square imagewrap album. MURAH GILA wey! I've been waiting for Photobook Malaysia to offer discounts like this, because their quality is superior than other photobook printers. I tried Vprinthouse on groupon once, regretted it sebab their print and binding quality was terrible. Jadi I only trust photobook Malaysia, plus their software is easy to use. Initially I thought photobook senang je nak buat.. rupa-rupanya. Hmmm. Anyways, yeah. I printed our 2010 travel album. I am one satisfied customer. Here are the screenshots. =)

Alhamdulillah Okay sebenarnya it's been six months. Both of us had planned for another baby when Hakimi turns 4. SoI took the Implanon out in December 2011  and, ehem ehem, the trying process began. I'm sure Ach liked that process, as much as I did. :P Anyways.  I was kinda stressed when our first try didn't work the way I planned it to be. Conceiving, despite the fertility that I thought my family had (my family members are all very fertile, judging by the number of cucu my mom has), was a very stressful process.  Few months passed by and one month I was feeling... weird. I don't know but I just felt... weird.  I thought, the good news might come! This is it!  True enough, we were blessed. A check up in Pusrawi confirmed my thoughts and as soon as it was confirmed, my fingers were itching to announce it on twitter. Tapi tak. tak tak tak.  But tau la perempuan kan. I started to hint subtly... =) A few people got it...

How do I know? Because when he was warded, the teacher texted us every day, called us every day, and even had her parents call us  to talk to Kimi because according to her, her parents miss Kimi too.   Is able to read Bacalah anakku book 7, page 3 to be precise but has remained at that page since last week.  Has graduated from milk bottles since March this year Is totally potty trained since last year and is disciplined enough to go pee every night before he sleeps.  Been sleeping in his own room – albeit for 2 hours because he WILL wake up at 1am every night without fail and sleep on our bed. Kachau.  Loves Maths. Hates reading. Will sulk if he's asked to read.  Clockwise from top lef...
