Ramblings of a Mami of Two

I used to be an avid reader (fictions, biographies), back then when smartphones did not exist, when I used to commute on public transport, and back then when I did not have to read Handy Manny before bedtime. I love reading, always have, still do a bit of reading although nowadays it's more of reading trash online (guilty: beautifulnara).  Anyhooo, I want my kids to pick up the reading habit as well, because reading is good. Alright, it's not so much of "melentur buluh", the truth is, I HATE seeing them being too dependent on their gadgets. Kimi, once, told me that "Kimi sedang termenung tengok burung dekat luar" when I imposed a no-tab time for him. Ko bole termenung je nak? Do you understand what it means? I think he doesn't know what to do without his tab. But nevermind. There’s still time to change that. April last year, I wrote about a treasure hunt game I did for Abah for one of his birthdays. This year Kimi did the same thing for me: Look at the map. I can tour the house till the end of time and not find my present. Haha. Luckily, Hakimi is always terrible at keeping secrets - I wanted to laugh looking at him trying his best not to give out the location. Everytime I took a wrong turn he'd laugh and he'd whisper LOUDLY to Ach, "Hahaha Ayah kita tengok dia salah jalan', "Hahaha Ayah bukan dekat situ lah!".  Hahaha apa punya map lah wey! Eventually I did find the present, it was a handmade card stuck to the side of the fridge. Honestly when I saw the card I was a wee bit disappointed, you see, he drew the present like it's a harta karun or something on the map - I was sorta expecting something, errrr... shiny.  Haha okay sorry. Mommies can be a bit shallow too sometimes, you know? But anyways, it was a super adorable card....

...on August 12th. Yep two months ago, I forgot to write about it. In fact I should've written this entry when it turned 10 years last year, but I haven't been blogging much. 11 years old. Kalau anak, aku dah kena dengar dia bebel pasal girlfriend agaknya.  Since 2010, the last time I "analysed" my own posts , which also happened to be the year I blogged most since I graduated eight years ago, aChieaJanie has seen a downward trend in blog posts.  Yeap I sound like an amateur economist already.  I think the decline was due to me not having much to blog anymore, I mean, Hakimi's already walking, talking, gone to school, I was over the pureeing-freezing, breastfeeding phase...
