Best ke?

Image
Last  night, Ach was teaching Kimi using his flashcards. 10 minutes later Kimi got bored and started throwing his cards around. Ayah : Takkan baling satu je? Yang lain tanak baling? Kimi : *Baling lagi banyak kad* Ayah : Ini, car ni tanak baling? Kimi : *Baling car* Ayah : Lagi? Truck? Lego? Kimi : *Baling everything* Note: I have absolutely no idea what Ach was trying to do. I guess he was trying to do this reverse psychology thing, but I don’t think it was working, because: Ayah : Ha, dah takde benda dah ke nak baling? Best ke Kimi baling2 barang ni? Kimi : Deh! (best) Ayah : *Gave up* Mommy : Hahahahahahahha gelak guling-guling sampai sakit perut. Picture credit to Kay @ the Photolicious

Malaysia vs Korea

Image
Setiap kali, pasukan bola Malaysia main dekat KL ni, kawan akan cuba pergi. Sebagai fan, kawan cuba untuk bagi sokongan. Semalam ada satu lagi perlawanan persahabatan pasukan Malaysia. Kali ni lawan Korea Selatan, sempena 50 tahun hubungan diplomatik dua negara. Kali ni kawan bawa Ajan dan Kimi sekali. Ni Kimi first live match . Masa game Man Utd tahun lepas Kimi kecil lagi, kali ni dia cukup besar untuk enjoy the atmosphere . Macam biasa, setiap kali tengok game Malaysia, kuning adalah warnanya! Disebabkan awan mendung sebelum kami nak keluar tu, maka disediakan payung sebelum hujan. Nasib baik lah bawak payung, hujan turung mencurah-curah petang semalam. Nasib baik juga hujan berhenti sebelum match . Sampai kat pintu stadium, Kimi dah jerit Bola! Bola!

Dua : A to Z

Kawan dah kongsikan serba sedikit tentang Project Dua ni tempoh hari. Ubah warna dinding. Bina kabinet dan lengkapkan perkakasan dapur. Mengkayukan lantai. Merumput laman. Memulakan Woodworking projek Mencantikkan taman ...

Mempekenalkan Project Dua

Image
Malam tu lepas makan malam, kawan dan Ajan borak-borak pasal Project Dua ni. Apa nak buat, bila nak buat, macam-mana nak mula... Kami panggil rumah kami 'Dua'. Kenapa 'Dua'? Apa kaitan dengan gambar ni? Itu nanti lain kali kawan cerita. Dua akan penuhkan masa lapang kami setahun-dua ni. Tujuan utama projek ni nak jadikan Dua dari simple house kepada sweet home kami. Vague? Oklah secara terperincinya Project Dua ni adalah projek kami sekeluarga (Ach, Ajan and Kimi) ubahsuai rumah idaman kami. Rumah ni kawan beli tiga tahun dulu, masa tu Ajan masih anak dara sunti lagi, Kimi, hmm kawan pun tak tau, mungkin masa tu tengah sibuk dikelillingi bidadari syurga kot! Dua tahun lepas tu, rumah pun siap. Kawan ambil kunci rumah, tapi sampai dua bulan lepas, kami langsung tak buat apa-apa pun kat rumah ni. Se...

Kawan kat Sini

"Bila awak nak tulis blog ni?"   hampir setiap hari. Ajan tanya soalan ni sejak dia jemput tulis kat blog ni awal bulan haritu. Orang dah jemput dan sebab nak jaga hati isteri, maka kawan curilah masa sikit untuk tulis entri pertama ni. Ajan kata blog ni nama dia aChieaJanie, tapi sekarang ni cerita 'aJanie' aje. Kawan nak ucap terima kasih kat Ajan sebab jemput tulis kat sini. Kalau kawan lambat tulis, minta tolong ketuk eh.

Happy Belated 22nd Birthday, Shafiq!

Image
Okay, memang sangat belated. I just found this picture that I scanned. That's me and my lil brother. Looking at the picture, you'd think I'm a loving sister eh?  But you're wrong hahahahaha. When I was 13 and my brother was 8, he became the target of my constant temper outbursts. Semua dia buat tak kena. Memanjang kena jerit je. Tak basuh kasut, jerit! Tak basuh pinggan, jerit! Chew with his mouth open, jerit! Pilih fishball dalam mihun, jerit! Tak kemas bilik, jerit! I bet the neighbors were talking about me back then. Even sekarang pun dia kena lagi ngan aku. I dont shout anymore, but I use very sarcastic words. I even told him to fuck himself off, ONCE. That's a lot if you're in my family. Yes. I'm a bad sister. I never showed any emotions towards him. But that goes for everyone, except Kimi and Ach and Mak, sometimes. I seldom, almost never, asked him how he's doing, how he's coping with studies, how's the relationship with the gir...

A Trip Down the Memory Lane: Nusantara 2005

Image
Actually I don't really know what to write about Nusantara since I wasnt really involved in organising what was prolly MASARPI's biggest event so far. But still, at the end of the day, we all definitely felt proud of ourselves! That was a moment to remember, lagi2 our asmaradana dance dapat tepuk2 yang kuat and encore at the end! You see that top left picture, that was our ending pose, pastu believe it or not we posed like that for a good 2 -3 minutes kot while people were clapping and cheering "Encore! Encore!". I was like, OMG sensationalnya kami! Of course, kami tak menari lagi sekali. Malu la pulak. Haih, reading this article made me miss dancing. I haven't danced for a VERY, VERY, VERY long time that I kinda miss the type of penat that I used to get from dancing. The article and picture are taken from here . Oh, one of the asmaradana girls, whose lap was were my left leg was standing on, is getting married this month.

Alice never imagined that she would end up like this. Is she the only mother who feels so permanently panic-stricken at the terrors of the modern world – or is it normal to sit up in bed all night popping bubble wrap? She worries that too much gluten and dairy may be hindering her children's mental arithmetic. She frets that there are too many cars on the road to let them out of the 4x4. Finally she resolves to take control and tackle her biggest worry of all: her daughter is definitely not going to fail that crucial secondary school entrance exam. Because Alice has decided to take the test in her place… Alice is one over-protective mom who tries to be everything that her kids need. She would do ANYTHING so that her kids can have bright futures. She is the  kinda parents that would squeeze every single minute out of their kids living daylights by sending them to all kinds of class that anyone could possibly offer, fencing, karate, taekwando, maths, piano, swimming, hockey, you na...

8 Tips for Raising an Adventurous Eater

1. Sit Down! Now is the time to teach that meals play an important role in our day. Make breakfast-lunch-dinner definite sit-down-to-eat occasions, even if it's just for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. 2. Doesn't This Look Good? Talk it up! Comment on the yummy smells from the oven, or how pretty and juicy the steak looks. Little kids "eat with their eyes" just like adults do. 3. It's a Dinner, Not a Diner! And that means no short order cooking! From earliest eating days, children can and should eat what everyone else at the table is eating. 4. Focus on the Whole Meal If you're serving chicken, peas, and rice for dinner, then your kid should have chicken, peas, and rice on her plate, too. What if she scarfs down the rice and wants more? Not until she has a bite or two of the rest of the items in the meal.   5. Spice It Up Don't be afraid to let your child sample spicier dishes, like those found in Indian or Mexican cuisines. If it's really t...
