Homemade Playdoh
I've read somewhere that I'm supposed to buy Kimi stuff that will boost his creativity. Playdoh is on top of my list but those in Toy's R Us are very expensive lah!
But worry not, I have found the perfect recipe for home made play doh that wont burn a kawah comet in your pocket. It doesn't take long to make too. So here goes:
Ingredients
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoon cream of tartar (find it in the spice section)
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup water
food coloring
Methods
Mix first 4 ingredients in a pan. Add water and mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 3 – 5 minutes. Dough will become difficult to stir and form a “clump”. Remove from stove and knead for 5 minutes–add food coloring during kneading process. Play dough will keep for a long time stored in a covered plastic container or plastic sandwich.
The amount of doh is just perfect, tiap2 warna ada cukup doh for kimi to play with. I find the texture and elasticity of the doh tu macam just nice. The only problem is, different pieces of doh don't stick well. So kaki dinosaur tu asyik tanggal je. Tapi takpe, it's waaayyy cheaper than the original Playdoh and I can make a house of it if I want to. =D
