One for Each of Us Part 2

In my last entry I told you that I like personalised stuff, stuff that tells stories. Charm bracelets do exactly that. They tell stories that only the owners can tell.

Earlier last year I stumbled upon Pandora & Thomas Sabo, and I fell in love with both ever since. I imagine each charm to represent something special in my life. They will look like ordinary charms to you but to me, they are more than just charms. They are stories.

The reason I did not get them was because they are too expensive. Tooo expensive for a cheapskate like me. Fortunately, dear husband tau perangai aku and gave me one for my 29th birthday. I was happy. He gave me the "starter kit"; the bracelet, 2 spacers and 1 charm. Dia kata, the rest isi sendiri.

Baiklah!

Sebelum cari my charms, I must first set the criteria:
  1. Since ada 3 column (2 spacers), my charms must fall in either one of these three categories:
    • family, for family stories. One for each family member, significant milestones reached eg anniversaries (5th, 10th), where I met ach, 2.0, yadda yadda.
    • Personal achievements - career wise, if I get another degree ke. Aku rasa, column ni agak susah to be filled, tapi takpe let it be my motivation to work harder.
    • satu lagi belum decide. Maybe as and when I find what I like.
  2. I can only buy my charms if I achieve significant milestones in the above three categories.

Except for the one that Ach gave me last June, my bracelet has been quite togel. Since last few months I have been very blessed with a lot of stuff, I decided to add two more to signify my achievements. Jadi sekarang I have three charms - three stories to tell you.

Jiwa Saya

The one that Ach gave me. I don't know what Ach wants to say with the charm, tapi kalau dah ada dangling heart tu I assume it is because he loves me.

I call this one Jiwa Saya. Suami saya, jiwa saya, jantung hati saya.

Kalau jiwa saya takde, maka takde lah saya.

Young Photographer

This one falls under family category. It's to symbolize Kimi.

We bought Kimi's first camera when he was 3. Not sure how a camera came into the picture, tapi it all started when he showed interest in photography . We promised to buy him a "camera murah" if he behaved.

When he did behave, Ach bought him a working mini dslr Yashica camera. You should've seen his excitement when he received his gift!   Ach brought him to Batu Caves to practice his picture taking skills. Even  masa his sports day pun he brought his camera  when he marched on track.

Nowadays he seemed to have forgotten about the camera, tapi takpelah, I still think it is cute that he had his first camera when he was only three. =)

Lucky Charm

This one falls under Personal Achievements category.

Alhamdulillah, I have been very blessed these past few months, career-wise. Confirmed, increment, and so on... So I thought, why not reward myself? =)

Thanks Mr Employer for your support. Next milestone, Promotion? Entahlah. Kita tengok rezeki. Maybe I can take my masters. Pun entahlah. Or when Ach got his PhD. My achievement too, as the saying goes, behind every successful man is a strong woman. =P

So there you go. My current stories. Stuff that I am proud to tell you. My beloved husband, my adorable son, and what I have achieved so far. Alhamdulillah. =)
