Kitchen Renovation

The renovation is progressing very fast. I hope they do a good job despite the short time taken to do it.

The kitchen is coming along very well now. At least I can see the rupa of the kitchen already, unlike before when I was worried that the kitchen is gonna be too small and cramped and what not, despite having the complete floorplan. Obviously that lukisan kejuruteraan class i took for two years  in high school was a complete waste of time! Kesian.

As i mentioned in my entry last week, we were quite undecided on the color scheme. Ach and I have made good progress this week, we have finally decided on the colors, we even know what tiles we want for the kitchen floor! So we've decided on black and white everything with stainless steel appliances. We'll also have white tiles (not mosaics) for our backsplash. The only problem now is the tiles that I want is not available in matte finish. Must go out and search some more. Sigh, I foresee another non-weekend ahead!

Like I've also mentioned last time, I'll add splashes of colors using accessories. Tak tau apa lagi or what color. Takpe, that's not important, yet. 

That's how my kitchen looked like on my last visit. That door is going away i hope, that square hole is staying but I have yet to find a way to dress it. My kitchen (dry and wet) dekat belakang. On the left side is the window and sliding door. On the right hand side are my laundry room and the third bathroom. I honestly love love love the sliding door in my kitchen. It gives the kitchen a bright and airy feeling! Awesome ey... awesome.

We still have a lot to do. I've gotta choose a lampu for our kitchen. Like a chandelier but not as grand as chandelier. Yep, something like that one in the picture. Then we have to choose a lampu for our dining room and living hall.

Honestly all this searching is driving me crazy. Luckily poket kitorang ni not as deep so our choices are narrowed down to those yang fit our budget. I can't imagine what its like to have unlimited budget with all those stuff available out there! Bagi aku lapan bulan pun maybe I cant settle on one design.

Apa2 pun, I'm not complaining. I thank God for giving us enough rezeki to own a house and buy nice things to decorate it. Alhamdulillah. =D
