A Non-weekend

Definition: This phrase is used whenever you want to tell that (blank) is not up to standard or what it’s supposed to be.

Example: This is a non-paper! There’s not enough analysis!

Alright. Enough with my workipedia. 

Reno works on the house has started. We’re extending the house 6 ft to the back, bagi kitchen besar sikit. InsyaAllah, based on the kitchen plan we have now, my new kitchen will be bright and airy! Suka! Then I can have little herb plants on my window sill! Suka lagi!

Alright i gotta stop talking like a teeny bopper. But really, who can not jump up and down excitedly after getting what they want?

So now we have to look for tiles for the kitchen floor and the backsplash. The problem is, I haven’t even decided on the kitchen color combination, which makes it more difficult for us (read: me) to even narrow down the tiles options! Do you know how many different types of tiles there are out there? The different colors, finishes (matte / glossy / yadda yadda), sizes, designs (horizontal, vertical), prices (from RM2.80 to RM90 / sq ft!) and what not lah. 

Initially we have settled on cream / white / black combination for the kitch cab and backsplash, tapi after visiting several showhouses last weekend, we thought that would look too crisp but boring and ordinary and not to mention lifeless. So I thot of introducing some colors to the kitchen, like, some olive green or turquoise mosaics to the backsplash but that would be kinda permanent wouldn’t it? What if I get bored? What if I wanna have reds in my kitchen? Aqua and red would be pening?

I could just stick to the initial color combination, skip the mosaics and add colors with accessories like vases or plants. Honestly I am clueless.

 Anyways, I leave you with a picture of my kitchen (in progress). Hooyeahh.
