Hadi at 9 Months

Wah. I cannot believe nine months had passed since I gave birth to this boolat. Some updates on Hadi:

Physical Milestones:

  • weighs about 8.0 kg
  • is prone to be asthmatic due to his frequent coughing. Bye bye swimming pool.
  • has taken a huge amount of medications and dah kena neb a few times. In fact, dah selalu sangat sampai dah tak menangis the last time he was on neb. Macho.
Developmental Milestones:
  • is already crawling. Laju.
  • dah mula memapah-mapah. Tak mau duduk. Nak berdiri.
  • can respond to "Sapa nama Hadi angkat tangan. Sayaaa!" and "tata hadi, tataaaaa".
  • has no tooth peeking out yet but is teething i believe. Will gigit almost anything.
    Wheeeee

On feeding:
  • is an advanced eater. Not something that I like, but I don't have much choice. Not something that I would like to spend too much time writing about too.
  • is still fully breastfed, alhamdulillah. But to be honest, I am struggling to meet his daily demands. =(
  • loves his soup ayam and bayam. At least yang itu la dia makan paling banyak, so far.
  • is Allergic to meat.
  • Loves nibbling on his Munchkin food feeder.
On being Hadi:
  • is a Mami's boy. Can be absolutely fine all giggly with Ayah and turns completely the opposite the moment he sees me. Nope. Mami is not complaining baby.=)
  • likes to be carried / worn, but only if it's front carry / hip carry. Can't last more than 15 mins on my back. Is his happiest in the ring sling.
  • is inquisitive. Always try to pop himself out of the wrap peeking on what I'm doing. Super comel.
  • hates his car seat (for long drives). This makes balik kampung journey miserable because he would scream and yell and scream at the top of his lungs until he is taken out of the seat. Dia tahan menangis even for an hour.
  • has the sweetest smile, especially in the morning. Ahhh.... worth waking up every morning for. (i'm supposed to say that, I'm his mother)
  • absolutely adores his big brother! Will laugh at almost all of Abang's jokes. Seriously, Kimi never really needed to put in much effort to make Hadi laugh. Sampai tak cukup nafas kadang-kadang tu.

Brothers

In the same nine months, I've learnt (and relearned) new things too:
  • I learned how to multi-task like a mom. Most of the times, multi-tasking does not help me do things more efficiently, it simply means I can get other things done while tending to my manja baby. Honestly, I find multi-tasking slows me down but eh, at least I get to be close to (and feed) Hadi. Thanks to my Bebesachi wrap and Jumpsac ringsling. Me love them both.
  • I learned how to shove food down my throat without really caring what they taste like, because I happen to be tending to a fussy baby at the same time. *suap - check if baby is latching correctly - suap - pour air for abang - suap - check baby again - suap - pat baby - suap - ask everyone at the dining table about their day*. And imagine doing all that, standing, while swaying left to right. I know nampak tak sopan but eh. It calms my baby and give the family the opportunity to have a nice, not-so-quite-but-fuss-free dinner.
  • I also learned, over and over again, that my husband is an angel. (I just have to throw this in. Sorry peeps).

Angels
I end this post with a video of Hadi gelak-gelak happy. Please pardon my high-pitched mock bersin. I was trying to be a funny mami. =)

p/s: No I do not always let my son bogel like that. I was changing him into his pyjamas.
